Rainbow after the rain.

My eye lids are like the black clouds, heavy with load but I want to remember today. As usual, I woke up to the melody of Boston and fall back for ten minutes. Wasn't expecting much out of today, was contemplating to be a good or bad student. It's like I didn't have anything to look forward to until Friday. Thankfully I did the right thing and stayed till the end. If it was me last time, I would have thought of the activities as lame and a mere waste of time but I actually thought it was quite enjoyable and was a good opportunity to get to know my potential classmates. What harm could it cause me anyway.

So what happened was I showed them how physically tough I could be. Haha I don't know, twas fun just fooling around and laughing uncontrollably like that. That three hours were joyfully spent with playing Charades, the running while acting game, drinking 1.5 litres of diluted apple cider vinegar and jumping with balloons between our legs and under our armpits. The most surprising thing was our group won first prize. The evening got better when I met up with a few former classmates in foundation and had a great sharing session with the elegant Farah Yunos. Thank you so much for the beautiful bracelet, it was a lovely surprise and very thoughtful gift, by the lake :D. Before that, I dropped my just-collected ID card and a lady came searching for me in the pc lab. Thank goodness.

It was a blessed day for me indeed. LLDS this Friday, have not packed a single thing. Long day ahead. Good day amigos!

Random photos in the cam. Sorry if it hurts ;P

Sometimes you only need one minute to make a change.

Fifteen merry days

Been not blogging recently because I don't know, laziness, paranoia, etc.

CNY this year was great. Lots of good food and awesome companies. Celebrated grandpa's 75th birthday on the ninth day of new year, Fong's farewell on the fifth and enjoyed the brightly-lit Dong Zen Temple on the fifteenth. I wanna go visit Fong there some day and on the way, visit some other friends, like a field trip, it'll be so much fun.

This year was obviously different, like someone was missing. But the good thing was, everyone did their part in making it all looked the same, intentionally or not. And as life always is, when something goes, something else will come to fill in the void. And it takes time and most importantly, optimism to adapt to those changes. Well, nothing changed really. Only thing is you cherish each other's presence more.

Girls in red, boys in black

Yesterday was the English Term Project. Every year, FIS organises different activities to raise fund for the Good Sheperd Home which houses children from broken homes. This year, we came out with game stalls and had a funfair-like thingy. It was a great experience. Everyone enjoyed and had a blast. All the lecturers came down with full force to support us after they finished their classes. It was awesome, they took time to play at every single game stall of ours.

Ours was "Junk Hunt". The theme was 'Pirate'. Ivan and Masako was our maskots of the day. They did most of the publicity job, luring people to try out our game while having to pose to take pictures for almost-freaking-out camera-holding people who I think had a huge thing for pirates. Overall, we all had put immense effort and time into this and personally, I am very proud of everyone and the outcome of our stall especially. We didn't think many people would be willing to pay money to spend twenty minutes or so to go around campus, sweat, think so hard and basically, sweat in their fancy clothes. Terrific, we're the highest-earning game stall, according to the 'coupon girls' :).

Not only that, Navetra sponsored our grand prizes; an MP4, a headphone set and a card reader. We had hampers for the early birds and fast-hunters. I did the registration for the day, Charel and Chi Kang brainstormed on the deco, and Pavitra, Lina, Alene, Nad and everyone did a super awesome job on the clues days beforehand cause they need to be thoroughly checked by Ms. Vivien. Our team leader, Clare, she was the one getting everybody going when we're slowing down. She's always so energetic and lively and smiles 24 hours, seven days in a week, I wonder how she does that. Well, every time when something ends, there left an empty space waiting to be filled. It's not so pleasant a feeling sometimes. Pictures, all grabbed from fellow hyper FIS-mates.

Our tribe flag =)

Mr. Ivan's alter ego.

First prize winner.

The Bruneian twin.

Haha epic. Our lecturers are seriously afraid of balloons.

Ms. Vivien.

Just thinking that I actually had lunch with her.. LMAO.
She's an awesome lady, really.

Do not try this at home, kids.

Farah, Ivan, Rachel.

Erhmm..

Scones!

Ms. Masako.

Love the skeleton deco. Ivan's. From Toys 'R' Us.
I used it as my necklace and everybody shot me the you-EVIL! look.
It's mine now. Dia bagi saya :).
