Monochrome

Aloha. The weekend was fattening. Mom's cooking has improved tremendously :). Yesterday, dinner with grandparents, lots of prawns. And my back, it can snap anytime. I do not know how to hunch okay, some people are just so sarcastic. Last week has not been quite a safe one. I got scratched on my face and hand while at work, got a big patch of blue-black on my thigh, toe nail slightly peeling off. Anyways, more snaps for the soul. Some of them are the lil' one punya kerja :P.

On Saturday evening, on the way back from work, dad said I received a big parcel by Pos Laju.
Who would have expect..

Goosebumps.

This is seriously..double Dutch. :)

Yesterday, the lil' one attended the Youth Carnival Marathon thingy in Putrajaya. Haha semangat betul. He was down with fever but, well, the power of peer pressure. He said it was kinda awesome, super grand setting, huge crowd, lots of freebies and souvenirs. BUT, nothing to eat. LOL.
Each member had to run 3km only. Cheh. Five fella in a team, so altogether 15km.

This pen is cool. =)

And his proud possession.

It's official.

But it's true, I'm still blue

I slept at 2am and woke up at 7am and can't go back to bed again.

The rain, it was raining.. I couldn't help but to just sit beside the glass door, admiring the rain, the breeze, the tapping sound.

Enjoy the song.

Welcome to the familia!

We have a new member in the family :D
It's such a pleasant surprise.
Thank you dad. Thank you mom. Muahs.
Here's the super brief summary of what happened.

Dad said, "Buy Nikon and no others."
Yea, he's a fan. Last time, he worked in the police investigation department and used to take pictures of crime scenes, evidences and stuffs. So cool.

With my budget, I was actually targeting a D3100.

I'm seriously broke now :)

OH-MY-GOD.

Okay, I'm not a techy kind of person but this is so much fun. I'm enjoying the mistakes I make, the crazy details on the 3" screen which I don't understand, accidentally pressing something and magical stuffs happen and more.

I took like 900 over pictures yesterday and deleted 99% of them today. =)

It has a name. No, she has a name, which will soon be decided.
She's an unnamed baby for now.
Have a good weekend ahead. Chao.

Living on wines and sky juice

Last Thursday, we had a surprise for Ms. Tan. Her actual birthday was on Friday but she's off on that day so it was birthday came early :). It was so funny, there were so many people and passers-by staring at us and we didn't bother them at all. Usually, the seniors will tell us that if there is customers, we should stop whatever we're doing and pay attention to them. Well, the surprise went on well. We sang song, she made her wish, blew the candles, cut the cake and we took photos.

Can you believe this came out from Secret Recipe? It was moist chocolate la anyway. :D

The look on her face when she saw the cake.

Waiting for us to finish the birthday anthem.

Making her wish.

*blow*

From left: Farah, Yati, Birthday girl, Eva and me.

As, Afi and Eva. The seniors.

I can tell you that he is my favourite company
He shares things that you're afraid to ask
Looking through his eyes
You can tell he'd been through a lot
But he laughs and jokes all about them
Everybody loves this man

Greatgrandma's 100th birthday :)
Every once in a year, all four generations of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, greatgrandsons and greatgranddaughters gather together to celebrate this very important day. We had a full course vegetarian dinner here at Yishensu. It's such a joy to have the whole family in one place in unison. We all had a good time and the food was great. The 'chicken', 'fish', 'prawn' and everything looked and tasted so real. :D

Best durian cake ever. :P

The following snaps are taken by Kenny Ang. Mi cámara se está muriendo.

Yesterday was Wesak. Woke up early, picked up grandma and went to two temples. Everyone has a calm look on their faces, carrying out their prayers; lighting up the candles and joss sticks, kneeling before the god after a few moment of silent murmuring. Everything was done without much questioning. Everyone looked..very at peace. The people behind the desks and kitchen in the temple were mostly elderlies.

Someone said, as people age, they lose one thing, that is their ambition.
He gave me a sneak peek of what I am to be in ten years to come, advised me to make not the right, but the appropriate decision. Because the things we prioritise in life will soon change as we go on. You can plan your life twenty years ahead but who knows what you might stumble upon along the way. It might not be the best offer you're accepting but for others, you are making a huge sacrifice.

It's the midweek already! ;)
