Gemini

Got on a crazy huge ship at Penang Island and off we sailed. Away from the structured-landscaped view. Away from people, literally. One of the best travelling experience so far. Thanks to my dear parents for always giving us the best lifetime experience and momentous moments like this. Got the chance to get to the shore of Phuket and Krabi as well by tendering boats, and did some sightseeing at the town. Beautiful people, amazing food, lovely tour guide, great weather, breathtaking sceneries, awesome companies. Twas perfect.
Being 'stranded' in the middle of the deep sea, not having a clue of where you are and what to do if anything were to go wrong, twas just amazing. There's no separation of the sky and the sea. The horizon is endless. You turn around 360 degrees and all you see is the same serene, soothing scenery. But sometimes, a lil' change is needed. I never knew it could be so uplifting to see the mountain-like dark patches appearing above the skyline. That's when I realised, no one could ever live alone.
If you compare yourself in the day and at night, you wouldn't see much of a difference in the way you live, your lifestyle, the people you meet, the things you do and such. It's pretty much consistent and in the 'safe' zone. I met this guy, Matt, who was our tour guide in Krabi. He has knowledge and experience as vast as you can imagine. Was a former Thai boxer, he met people from all around the world. One awesome guy I'd like to meet again.
The Gala Night taught me how diversity could bring people closer and not the presumed opposite. People from Philippines, China, Nepal, India, Finland, Sweden and Vietnam running that one ship. That's something there. Sometimes, we get too comfy in the same environment we overlook things. We assume and demand for our rights that we forget to be considerate and sensitive of other's needs. It's only human, ain't it. Think again. And also, extreme joy or sorrow brings the most kilos. Yeap. Oh well, as long as there's

..peace, love and understanding. :)

80-20

Howdy. The past four days were awesome. Every once in a while, it's good to have a getaway to recharge and come back fresh. To come back to what you left undone, unfinished, untouched, it's not really something I look forward to but it's not a choice I get to ponder on, is it. On the way home, the thought of just letting everything go and start anew somewhere else, doing something completely different flooded my mind like a tsunami. It's not just leaving things that's not in my favour but everything; likes and dislikes, needs and wants, past and present and perhaps, a potential future that's shining my way. To walk away from something you don't know the outcome, it kills for most of us.

Seeing how different things are elsewhere, it opens your eyes. You're less hard-headed and more grateful and forgiving. You learn to mould a mind that's understanding, peaceful and more aware of indifferent situations. We don't realise what we're gaining and losing every day but thoughts are the one thing we all possess no matter how restless we feel. We just need to have the right one at the right time.

"That was the worst thing about growing older. That was the worst thing of all. Realising that you could keep living without anyone, when it came to the crunch, when it came to goodbye and good luck, take care of yourself and let's be friends, realising that we are ultimately alone, taking our pleasures where we can. - Rory"

What's a good day without a good laugh. They're always around you, doing things they don't want their future children to find out. Haha ciao.

Unencumbered

It was great. It was exciting. It was meaningful. It was memorable. It was joyful.

I've nothing much to say really. Or rather too much for a quick post. After watching Life of Pi, tomorrow's adventure seems so much more exciting. Will be back in four. Take care, amigos. :)

That's the beauty of it all.

Broken Brights

Happy Raya. Happy Lemang. Happy Rendang. Happy Ketupat. I love the festive season. Visited dad's friend and tasted one of the best authentic Malay cuisine I've known. Yumyumm. And after that, lil' one and I tagged along god-uncle and family to KLCC for the Popular Bookfest. Packed. Super duper crowded. Everywhere you turn, you see a face or the back of it, with or without hair right in front of yours. But twas enjoyable. So so sooo many books. And so darn cheap. Like I said, too many options kills the brain. However, not that hard this time with the ruthless one by my side. Gosh, one thing he says and you could voluntarily crush your fancy dreams and wants to powder in your very own hands. Haha. We also did a 'quick browse' through the stationery and IT section. I spent most of the time at the kids and crafts area as always. Children, you have no idea how lucky you are. NO. Okay, then, we had dinner and walked around while enjoying the night view around the lake. Twas breathtaking. Too bad I didn't have Noelle with me. Anyhow, I had a great day today. I hope the same for everyone, everyday, everywhere. Goodnight. Lots of peace, love and understanding . :).

I think I like today, I think it's good.

Howdyyy. Gosh, it's been so long, hasn't it. Glad my lappy's back from the hospital after three whole weeks but I kinda got rusty. Typing like a tortoise. And new software. Good thing I backup-ed everything so I didn't have to redownload everything but still, I messed up stuffs. Oh well. Things like this, you'll never know when it'll strike you. It was fine all the while but suddenly that Sunday morning I wanted to use it but it refused to start. Numbers and codes were all I saw on the black screen for hours. Bummer. Guess me and tech gadgets can never be friends. :)

So two weeks ago, god uncle rang up and the next day at 6am, all of us were all packed and headed for Kuala Gandah, Pahang. We're seriously used to this already. The main attraction there was the elephants. It's opened free to the public and we got to feed, ride and bathe with the elephants. What a joy. But we didn't get ourselves wet though, for a very good reason; the elephant peed and pooped into the very same river you're splashing and soaking in. Besides that, we also went to the nearby Deer Park. Daymmm this was  the highlight I swear. I got to feed the deers and rabbits, cuddle a baby civet or musang and above all, carried a snake on my shoulders. I honestly didn't feel anything, I thought it was really cool. These experiences have made me realised that there are too many things out there that I've not explored and tried. Hope I'll have the chance to do as many crazy stuffs as I can before I get old and fragile and maybe senile. Haha.

The week before, another unexpected storm hit the family but thank god, this time was just a warning sign. You know, when family gets into trouble, the best support they could get is from family. I saw the tension and everything but I don't know. I guess I'm still too naive for the real deal. Sometimes people are funny, it looks like A to your eyes but hears like B and then the truth, C starts to surface from beneath, but there's another truth, D. In the end, nothing is resolved cause it goes nowhere. I used to shove aside matters that I dislike, unhappy subjects, arguments. Ignoring like it was just a bad play and wake up to a normal day. The scariest part is, it's not like I don't know anything, I knew everything. And in my dreams, I saw the beautiful side of it. Everything just plays in front of me and it all has a different ending. Some are just replays but some, they're remakes. Weird I know.

Alright it's getting late. Shall hit the sack and rock tomorrow's whatever I'm going for. Lol. Haha today I baked some raisin rolls and wholemeal loaf. Dad said I could open a bakery (flutters) but I will go bankrupt in no time looking at the amount of raisins I used. I ain't no business minded person. Never was. And my future bakery, I'll name it 'Family Bakery'. Tata :D.

The many beautiful creatures I met.

Awesomeness.

Do not let them die.

Block, Jump, Kick!

Last weekend, like always, twas a last minute plan. Thursday the idea popped up out of nowhere and Saturday morning, we were in the car uphill. Twas great, getting away from the heat of the city for a while. Family outings like this, although short, it brings a lot of enlightenment and joy. Twas all I needed. :)

Since I am so free, I thought I'll make some digital collages, instead of uploading the photos one by one. It saves time too I think, maybe not. Too many options kills me.

The few 'decent' snaps of us.

It's rare you can see such variety of flowers here. I'm glad I snapped them all.
Sadly, I can only name one. ROSES. :D

What else do you do in a cold place like that. Food! ;)

The guy I met at the tea plantation, signboards, somebody's giant antic shoes, peace sign coated with glove, lonely leaf flowing down the waterfall stream, beautiful lamp, 'ichigo', a kid playing in the super cold water, naked!

Feel like I'm in a Bollywood scene :D.

Peace, love and understanding y'll.

It's a dark night on the west coast
Then a soft breeze as the sun rose
Then the phone rang like a gunshot
Like a siren on the beach rock

Broken Bottles Form A Star

I've been dreading to blog cause I know, once I'm at this page, my mind will go blank and my fingers will start dancing over these squarish, alphabet-labelled thingy with the intention of baring my heart and backfiring the initial plan made by Mr. Mind. It happens to others too I'm sure, but I don't know, I don't feel comfortable typing out every single thing that I'm going through here.

It's about a month now I'm enjoying my break and homework-free lifestyle. And I've got to say, having spent so much time alone at home, you really can't help it but to feel lonely and isolated. It's like you could even hear the pumping sound of your own breathing, the pounding of your blood when it hits the wall of your heart and veins and the voice of your mind speaking out every time it has an opinion. It really makes you think and more substantially, hear what YOU are saying.

I just realised I've been blogging for years, with the same link address. Back then, the purpose was simple; to let people whom you want them to 'stalk' you know what are your interests and personalities like. Slowly as I 'mature', I began to complain, crap, gossip, and emo my heart out here. So unhealthy. I thought of stopping. Then I thought, maybe there's still someone out there who is still following up on me. I don't know, maybe the future me? It's silly but a tinge of false hope won't hurt, will it. Certain things are meant to be the same for a long long time. There's no point trying to meddle with it. It is written with ink, can't be erased.

Perhaps years from now I'll look back and laugh at myself. I definitely will haha. Happy midweek =).

Did some baking. And stacking. :)

My new hobby.

5018

Well, someone's been practising her driving. I swear it's still scary as crap. Sweaty palms and a huge sigh of relief every time I get down of the four-wheeled beasty machine. But it's getting better now I guess. Definitely. It's all about practice, said the wise man. :). Getting honked at is nothing now, yea I'm that unstoppable out there.

Half a year had passed. Honestly, I wish I'm at somewhere, anywhere on a trip right now. Kinda really need and want one. Or a one-day shopping spree would do. Lunatically bored.

And I can't believe I stayed up for the match last night. Oh well, happy night.

O, Anna Sun!

The holiday is indeed getting weird with me spending my precious seconds doing well, weird things. Went to campus to read novels and then, visited a friend who's working at the mall, ate ice-cream, before that 'accidentally' slipped a super awesome puzzle at the McD counter into my bag, walked the entire mall to get back to the car and finished two seasons of TBBT in about a week's time.

I'm adapting to the lack of need for organisation, planning and time-conscience. It's kinda a mixed feeling thing. You feel all free-spirited at one moment but at times, it turns to frustration and nothing-ness. You just get lost really, aimless. And in Dreamland, it's insane, what I could dream of. Don't wanna remember any of those please.

Strange things happen but well, for a good reason you'll realise some day.
Don't you just love how certain things in life work. :) Chao amigos, good days.

Seventeenth

Howdy. I hate to say this, but I'm so sick of holiday already. Mind's too vacant it flies aimlessly and was kind enough it brought back souvenirs. Thank god for the good melodies in the background. Maybe a trip next week, just maybe. Good weekend :).

Fairytales

To all the free at mind and heart, congratulations. We've persevered and thrived through this one year and whatever happens, be proud because we came out of the battle alive! Lol exaggerations. So one chapter is closed. The next chapter, 24th September 2012. It's really not that far away, time flies and before you know it, it's right in front of you. And things that happened, it seems as though it just happened yesterday. Scary.

Anyways, happy holiday and go crazy. :D

01 April 2012

Thank god I don't need to meet my friends today

One week passed so fast. Now we got to get back to the treadmill and keep up with everybody's pace so we don't be thrown further to the back. No more slacking. Easier said than done, always. This one week had been great though. Went out with friends on alternate days, watched two movies, finally read Sing You Home(amazing story), pampered myself with lots of guilty pleasures, stayed up late, skipped breakfast, became super lazy. :)

Went to Port Dickson today. The usual, we cleaned up the place, laid out all the offerings, prayed, chit-chatted while waiting, spent time at the regular beach we religiously visit every year and me, I just sat on the mat, snapping away while letting the soft sea breeze embrace my skin. I love it, the beach. For a while, all worries and stubborn thoughts just dropped off from your head, leaving you feeling so light like a feather.

I've always thought, I never had the chance to meet him. So, it's only natural to not miss him because I've never had the opportunity to get to know him. It's funny how you could miss someone you despise so much after years even though you really dislike him for everything he's done to you. But at least, there is that faint memory of that person in you rather than nothing at all. It's a shame but c'est la vie. I've learned the hard way to not hold on to the kite's line too tightly for it might snap sooner than you expect it to. But now, it's so hard to even start building a line.

Two more months, another chapter of my life will end. Everyone wants a happy ending, don't they. It may be fate or luck, but it's definitely lots of effort. I may not end up as someone I planned to be, but nevertheless, I will stay true to myself and be happy.

I don't know why I always sound emo in my posts but I'm actually kinda 'jumpy' inside?. Haha oh well. Reading my friends' blogs, I am really grateful to have them as part of my life. We're all incredibly different people by personality. I guess we complete each other like that :). Have a wonderful day every day.

And not forgetting, Happy April!

An 'estrella' in the night sky

I said don't screw up but I did. It was really frustrating but I can't show it cause everyone did so so much better than me, some perfect. Of course I'm disappointed. Twas the second time I cried at school. It just happened and worse, at the food court. I just called her and told her everything and she cancelled all her incoming calls just to comfort me. I love her more and more every single day :'). I've always tried to give my best in everything but I guess sometimes, your best isn't enough if it just doesn't belong to you. Not gonna be upset about it though, I still have a long way to go. For now, just gonna chill and enjoy my one-week break before I go back to war mode.

This week was pretty fun actually. We had our English roleplay based on the book, Flowers for Algernon. It is the most ridiculous book I've ever read really. Not really a fan of sci-fi genre. And yesterday, went to Ikea and the Curve after class with Ivan, Rachel and James. Today, had fun with the boys at Nottingham Campus. Twas so much fun. Twas like a road trip and we got into so many crazy things like the cop who caught us at the emergency lane. Seriously, that was the most stupidest thing I've heard a cop said. And his name was SAFARI. Anyway, we got 'fined' each ten bucks as a lesson. Well, then, we stopped by at KFC to fill our starving stomachs before regathering with the others there. It's been a while since we had that hell of a time of crazy laughters. Wish we could have more of this before everybody leaves :).

I've been baking again. I miss baking so much. I feel like doing so much during this one week. Colour, cut, doodle, sew, stitch, swim, run, sleep, read, watch, climb, snap and more that I yet to think of. Wanna watch This Means War, The Vow and Hunger Games :(. I wanna go Aussie..

These babies containing cinnamon weren't well accepted.
Not gonna use this recipe anymore. :(

Ouh, my dinner last night.
The lil' one and I actually prefer food like this. Really.

These fellas..I call them shinies =).

You Are More

Hello amigos. I guess this will be my last post of the year. Time flies, yes it does. You're gonna miss stuffs from the past but as life goes on, better stuffs happen and you only wish it gets better and better.

Well, the first half of the year was pretty..it was a handful but nothing much at the same time. Spent most of the time at home thinking and going on vacations with family. And thank god I took up a part time job for a while. It was not the easiest six months but I've really learnt a lot from it.

Going to Taylor's was not the easiest decision I've made too. I felt like a jerk, for some reason, no matter which decision I made but I had to do what I had to do. I do admit I wasn't the friendliest girl and people were actually scared to approach me. It sucks, coming out of your comfort zone. Back in high school, you know everybody there and you have friends you can turn to anytime. It just wasn't easy to open up and live in the same 'house' with 6 new friends all of the sudden after 6 whole months of living in darkness. And then, my cousin went to a better place.

Come to third month of college, things got a lot better with all the group work and projects we have to go through. All that had definitely pulled us closer and made us understand each other very much deeper. I've got awesome classmates, that's for sure. Towards the end of the sem, I need not say, it was THE best time I've ever had in college. Dinners and late night walks, going high studying calculus, doing mock exam paper while squatting on the chair, stalking each other when we're bored, library camping for 8 hours straight..

The holiday was great. After finals, went to Malacca for kinda a "JPA gang trip". We planned this like two months back in the bus on our way to Subang Parade. Great experience. Then the supposedly birthday-surprise-party. Thank you guys. And Mandy invited me to spend the Christmas with her and her family in the highland. It was amazing. Super cold Idontknowhowthatgirlsurvive but yea, lots of fun.

So yea, it was a year. Shockalingam year.

I have changed. I'm not afraid to say it. I did. And I will keep on changing whether the universe like it or not. Fatter, shorter, girlier, chubbier, crazier, louder, whatever it is as long as I stay true to myself. My new year's resolutions, simple stuffs but hard to make it a habit. :) May we all rejoice and welcome the new year will lots of love and smiles. Happy 2012 :D.

Thailand.

Genting.

Port Dickson.

Sara's.

Since orientation, we suffered together haha.

Good old buddies.

Rocket mates.

Got wet in the rain for McD. All worth it.

The baby we will always call Mamypoko.

Durian ice-cream cake on mum's birthday. Unforgettable.

Bon Odori.

MX. A gift.

We used to argue but we eventually became friends.

Lots of freedom.

Lots of fun.

Lots of hard work.

Lots of memories.

Happy year!
